MAY 2026
May 1 – Girls Tier II Early tryout commitment for National Bound teams 14U, 16U and 19U due to Girls Committee Director
May 7 – Early Tryout Info letter, Back of Player Cards, Team Credentials Letter and Education/Player Movement Rule sent to all National Bound Girls’ teams
May 15 – Player cards distributed to the Girls Tier II teams
May 30 – ‘In the Know’ info sheet to post on AHAI Girls page website
JUNE 2026
June 1 – Girls Tier II August 15 tryout commitment due to Girls Committee Director
June 10 – Girls Tier II Information email with Parent Letter, Education, Credentials and Compliance form
June 14-18 – Girls Central District Player Development Camp – Green Bay, Wisconsin
June 15-22 – Girls Tier II Early tryouts for National Bound teams
June 29 & 30 – Girls Tier II Player cards to be returned to AHAI Girls Committee Director or designee
June 30 – Metro Girls High School – Combined applications due to AHAI Girls Committee Director
JULY 2026
July 2 – By July 2nd must turn in a minimum of 12 player cards
July 13 – All player cards – blank and signed are due
July 23-27 – NIHL Scheduling Window for National Bound Teams
July 28 – NIHL Deadline for posting schedules to the website for National Bound teams
AUGUST 2026
August 6 and 12 - AHAI Registrars Meetings – Aug 6 Girls, Aug 12 High School
August 15 – Girls Tier II Tryouts begin
August 24 – Metro Girls High School Scheduling meeting
SEPTEMBER 2026
September 1 – Welcome to the start of the 2026-2027 Season
September 1 – Season play may begin for National Bound Teams
September 1 – NIHL – Team declarations for Non-National Bound Teams (10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U)
September 3-6 -NIHL – Non-National Bound scheduling Window (10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U)
September 8 – NIHL – Schedule Posting deadline for Non-National Bound teams
September 8 – Metro Girls High School Season begins
September 10 – NIHL – Seeding Round Play begins for Non-National Bound teams
OCTOBER 2026
October 3 – USA Hockey Try Hockey for Free (usahockey.com)
October 16-18 – Girls Try Hockey for Free – National Weekend
October 18 – NIHL – Seeding Round play concludes for Non-National Bound teams
October 20-22 – NIHL – Regular Season Scheduling Window for Non-National Bound teams
October 23 – NIHL – Deadline for posting Regular Season Schedule for Non-National Bound teams
October 26 – NIHL – Regular Season Play Begins for Non-National Bound teams

November 30 – Information email regarding State Tournament Registration
DECEMBER 2026
December 1 – Registration opens for the 2027 IL Girls Tier II State Championship Tournament
December 14 – Metro Girls High School Regular Season ends
December 15 – Metro Girls High School Scholastic and Founders Cup games begin
December 21 – Premier All Star Games - Rosemont
December 28 – Registration closes for the 2027 IL Girls Tier II State Championship Tournament
December 31 – Deadline for all double/dual rostered players on National Bound level team to declare (see AHAI Article 13 Section 13.11)
JANUARY 2027
January 4 – Tier II Girls State rankings due
January 4 or 11 – Elite - Triphahn
January 7 – Mandatory Tier II Girls State rankings meeting to determine final seeding for the State Tournament
January 15 (tentative) – Girls Tier II State Tournament matchups announced/posted
January 31 – NIHL - Regular Season play concludes – All Divisions
FEBRUARY 2027
February 1 – Central District Tryout Registration Opens 7am
February 4-8 – NIHL – All Divisions Playdowns
February 1 – Registration opens for the Girls Central District Player Development Tryout Camp
February 12 – Metro Girls Semi-Finals 7:25pm and 8:45pm – Triphahn
February 12 – Metro Girls Semi-Finals 6pm and 7:30pm LFA
February 14 - Metro Girls High School Finals 6pm and 7:30pm LFA
February 15 – Central District Tryout Registration Closes 11:59pm
February 18-21 – Girls Tier II State Championship Tournament – Double Elimination at Glenview
February 21 - Metro Girls High School Invitational – Rosemont 5:30pm
February 21 - All State Girls Game – Rosemont 7:10pm
February 22 – HS Girls State Semi-Final @ West Meadows 6:00pm and 8:00pm
